Welcome to ChefWorks Catering

Established in 1988, ChefWorks Catering has provided the very best in catering and event planning services serving the island of Martha’s Vineyard for over 20 years. ChefWorks is a full service, owner operated caterer . Our goal has been to serve fresh, handcrafted, flavorful foods served with an artistic style utilizing fresh, local and seasonal ingredients while actively supporting our local farms . We cater a broad range of events from elegant weddings, spectacular cocktail parties, private dinner parties as well as our CHEFWORKS IN SHORTS menu featuring more causal cookouts and clambakes.

Starting at 19, Jim O’Connor began catering traditional New England clambakes on the mainland traveling from Rhode Island to New Jersey. Jim then went on to an apprenticeship with Japanese chef Hiroshi Hayashi working and studying in his natural foods restaurants in Boston. After years of chefing in high end restaurants on the island Jim, along with his wife , Kim, realized his dream and his passion for great food and making people happy when he opened ChefWorks Catering.

Kim , the other half of the team, acts as the on site event coordinator. With a background in art and teaching she brings her skills of creativity, organization & meticulous attention to all the details of your event.

Together they have assembled a team of professionals chefs, waitstaff and bartenders to create inspired cuisine combined with flawless service. ChefWorks takes pride in taking care of the smallest details and in making each event a special and memorable occasion for all!
